Description:
ASTRO (DOB 07/28/2017) - Who can resist this handsome face??? Apparently, a lot of people because I have been in my foster home since I was a tiny puppy!!! Can you believe that??? What is wrong with me you might ask???? Absolutely ALMOST nothing. My foster mom says I am a sweetheart! Even though I am a tall boy, I do great living inside and am completely house trained!! My energy level is normal except when I first see that leash that says it is time to go outside. I get pretty excited but I settle down once I am out the door. Speaking of leashes, my foster mom says I am an excellent leash walker - so if you need a walking partner, I am the man for the job!! I can also be a couch potato in the house because I cannot lie - I love to lounge on the couch. Outside I turn into a lizard/varmint hunter and am a little (okay, a lot) prey driven. My foster mom says I shouldnt be around cats and squirrels because I like to eat them (sorry, I cant help myself) and truthfully, I need to be an "only" pet. Oh, and my mom says I would make a good watch dog because I am not very friendly when strangers show up when I am home alone. I dont really like strangers. Sometimes she has to put me in a crate if she is expecting people but that is okay with me because I like to take naps in my crate. Basically I am a good boy and it is time for me to find my forever home because, frankly, I deserve one!!!!

ASTRO is available for adoption with Saving Grace Dog Rescue of San Antonio. The adoption fee is $150.00. An adoption application, home visit and adoption contract are all required. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations appropriate for their age, microchipped, and wormed for internal and external parasites. If you would like more information or an adoption application, please email us at sgdrsa@outlook.com.

Please note that visual breed identification in rescue dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only GUESSING at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. 10/4/22 3:48 PM

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
