Meet Dude – one of the sweetest pups around!  He’s approximately 1-2 years old and believed to be a Shepherd/Lab/Heeler type mixture.  He arrived from the reservation and although a bit shy and aloof at first, he warms up quickly and can’t wait to find his own family!

Dude has a silly personality and is well mannered for a young pup.  He does get excited at times and forgets his leash manners on occasion, but he tries super hard to impress everyone with his manners!  Dude is fantastic with kids and loves to give kisses as well as get lots of loves from them.

Dude does well with other dogs – big and small, he just wants to play!  Sometimes he is a bit kissy to the other playmates, but he’s respectful and listens to their cues when they’ve had enough – we feel he would do well living with other dogs, or he’d soak up the attention as your one and only!  Dude has been introduced to cats and does well – he does want to chase at times, but he’s not aggressive.  If the cat stands their ground, Dude will shy away to avoid the smack down!

Dude is kennel trained and house trained – he does best on a schedule as sometimes he forgets to let you know that he needs out.  Dude is very much a puppy and loves to chew on items – he’ll remind you how important good house keeping skills are!  Overall, he does pretty well sticking to his toys and with continued training, he’ll outgrow this eventually.  

Dude does well at loose leash walking, although when excited it can take a little bit to remind him that he can’t pull.  Dude is also working on kennel up, sit, down, and coming when called – he does most of the commands about 85% of the time – a bit of fine tuning and he’ll be one amazing pup!

Dude has been vet checked, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, microchipped, and neutered.  He is current on his flea/tick/heartworm/deworming preventatives.  Dude’s adoption donation fee is $300.00


We realize that people are looking for a predominant breed or breed mixture, but visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dogs individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
