Description:
Meeko is a four year old, bi-eyed boy ready for a husky saavy home of his own. He came into rescue as an owner surrender two years ago. Meeko was purchased as a pup, and in the two years he was with his original family his upper canines were pulled.

Although there was another dog in the home Meeko did not know how to "dog." He would greet other dogs with piloerect fur while barking in their face. His barking was more so stranger danger than aggression; Meeko never pushed past that point. However it was no way for him to "win friends and influence strangers."

Meeko plays well with other dogs. He is a little boisterous when he becomes excited. He does occassionally have anxiety when crated; we use a Vari Kennel Ultra with a couple of black trucker bungees in the front tie down holes. Meeko would do best in an active, patient, home with a husky companion, and a physically fenced yard. We will not place Meeko in a home with children as he was very distrustful of the child in his home.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
