Description:
Gru is a gorgeous husky that arrived as a stray but was never claimed. He was quite ill when he first arrived but with some medication, a diet change, some TLC and a (bad) haircut, hes now ready to find his new family! Gru is a goofy boy that has energy to burn. He seems to be very friendly with people and dogs but can be a little too intense for some. Mainly, he will jump up (or over!) you and can be pushy with some dogs. This guy is spring-loaded and needs a home that can dedicate plenty of time for exercise and training. Gru is food-motivated, which should help with training. Once Gru has been exercised and is ready to settle, he can be quite the cuddle bug. Other times he is happy to entertain himself if he has access to a bunch of toys. We recommend researching about Huskies to learn about their quirks and gain a better understanding of the type of care they require. Gru appears to have a sensitive stomach. He was very underweight when he first arrived and had constant diarrhea. After performing some diagnostics, trying different medications and playing with his diet, weve finally managed to get his symptoms under control. We would recommend keeping him on his current diet, which can be purchased from your veterinarian. We would be happy to provide a copy of his medical history to review with your own vet. If you think Gru might be the right fit for your family, then please contact Toronto Animal Services West region at 416-338-6271 during regular business hours to schedule a meet and greet. We are operating by APPOINTMENT ONLY.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
