Description:
In all our years of rescue, Tango is one of the smartest dogs we have ever come across. His intelligence knows no bounds and he picks up new tricks within a few tries. He is eager to please, loyal, affectionate, and funny. Due to Tango’s intelligence, he is intuitive and emotionally sensitive. His brain moves at a million miles a minute, causing him to be reactive towards a variety of stimuli, such as bikes, strollers, and skateboards. If given the opportunity, he would give chase and should not be trusted off leash. Over the past few weeks, Tango has been working hard on managing his reactive tendencies and has easily picked up remote e-collar training with our certified dog trainer. Any future adopter will be advised to continue his training in order to upkeep his newly shaped manners. (Our trainer will be present at any future meet-and-greets to instruct on the proper use of the e-collar and show off Tango’s wit and aptitude for learning.)

Tango is dog and cat friendly, but will require a home without children. His home etiquette is superb and he is potty and kennel trained. (Though he rather snuggle you in bed.) True to the terrier breed, he is vocal and will require a home without shared walls. Also true to his breed’s standard, he is energetically high spirited and will require a home that can offer him daily mental and physical outlets.

If you’re looking for a clever companion, look no further, and apply at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.

Tango is a 4.5-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-kill shelter. This dog is current on vaccinations, microchipped, 4DX/heartworm tested, and neutered. This dog is also tested with other dogs, kennel-trained, and housebroken. This dog does not attend adoption events and is in foster care in Fort Collins. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if it might be a good fit for your home.

The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.

We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)

Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed.

Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-1pm at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).

For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned.

Thank you for choosing adoption! If you would like more information on our organization please visit our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
