Nabi, which means butterfly in Korean, is an adorable DSH buff tabby male born approximately 7/7/2020. "Life on the streets was not kind to me. This nice lady at Vaughns Donuts in Garland would feed me every morning. Then, one day she noticed I was injured and called NBCR to help me. Not only did they help me with my injury, but they decided I was nice enough to not return to the streets. My front leg is healing after being on medication and I am now able to bear weight on it. Unfortunately, then my back leg paw started bleeding. The doctor told me I had "pillow foot." It is a condition that evolved from my living conditions and nutritional needs. All my paws seemed to be in bad shape, but now I am on medication for it. This treatment may last for several months to get it all cleared up. After spending most of my time under the bed at my fosters home, I now feel good enough to be around all the other fosters and love the pets and attention I am getting. I am a bit nervous around other cats, but slowly learning to just ignore them and we all get along. I follow my foster mom all over the house now, but havent quite mastered being a lap kitty. Although I am not used to it YET, I know with time and patience, I will learn how (along with a lot of other fun things indoor kitties know how to do!) I want to play sometimes, and maybe after I feel a lot better, I will be even more playful. Right now, I mostly enjoy being around people, just relaxing. If you are able to just enjoy my company and help me heal, then I just may be your cat and you my person!" Nabi is microchipped and currently in a foster home. His adoption fee is $105.
