Update August 4th, 2022 - Cooper & Bodhi are now up for adoption . Please take the time and read Cooper s  information including the requirements.  Then fill out the online adoption application form at avacats.org an adoption co ordinator will be in touch within 48 hours.  
September 2021   - Cooper and his littermates Bodhi, Tad(adopted)   & Dash(adopted)   were found in barn at about 6 weeks old with very bad eye infections  and URI. Their pregnant mom had been dumped there and gave birth.  They were taken to a foster home, put on antibiotics and eye meds. Their mom has been trapped, fixed through the TNR programme and back living on the farm.   Fast forward 6 weeks later and they are ready to find homes.  Cooper   has been flea treated, dewormed twice, received  2 sets of FVCRP vaccines plus rabies, neutered and microchipped.   Cooper  is a very sweet, loving , playful kitten.  Cooper had a corneal ulcer which has healed up nicely.  His 3rd eyelid  is adhered to his  right lower eye lid - born this way, but it doesnt bother him and has been left alone.  His eyes still water a little and may always do so. They did go to an eye specialist in Oakville who said they have the herpes vaccine and it will flair up from time to time but just wipe the eye and may have to have eye drops.   He is very bonded  to Bodhi so we are adopting them as a pair .  His adoption fee is $200
Two is better than one, twice the fun and 1./2 the work.  AVA has an indoor and no declaw policy. . 
During this pandemic we are still conducting adoptions, but in ways that protect the health and safety of all those involved and maintaining physical distancing. Please choose the location that says Pet Valu, Global, foster homes Hamilton, Ancaster, Burlington. Once we receive the application, you will receive a phone call for a telephone interview. Once you are approved for adoption, the adoption fee is e-transfer only. Arrangements are made to meet at the foster home
