Im 4 years old and, unfortunately, I engaged in one rumble too many before I was neutered. I contracted FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Some people think this is a death sentence like Feline Leukemia but IT IS NOT!!! I can live a long healthy life as long as any medical issues I develop, like a respiratory, are treated with the proper curative for the issue. This will often require a vet visit. I have a compromised immune system so I may not be able to get past an illness by myself. This is a real drag but, my outside carousing days are over and that helps limit my exposure to any new disease! I am one handsome blue-eyed dude so, please, do a little research and you will get much more comfortable with this virus. Cornell University Feline Health Center presents a good discussion. https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv Like all of my new friends here in my Cause 4 Paws foster home, I am fully vetted: neuter, Rabies, FVRCP, FelV/FIV tested, regular application of vermin preventative and Im microchipped too! Im a good eater and I LOVE canned food :-) I share litterboxes with my 8 roomies and we all get along really well too. I am not aggressive and I am affectionate!
