Tato is a 5 year old Terrier mix who has lived in a shelter for almost 4 years. He is a sweet boy who requires a lot of time for decompression and learn how to be a dog in a home. Tato is very treat motivated. He loves peanut butter bones, treats, playing with stuffed toys and just relaxing. He lived with other dogs in the past but right now has to be ONLY PET to all him the decompression time he needs. Unknown how he is with cats. Children 16 years old or older. His forever home is required to have a totally enclosed physically fenced yard. Tato really needs a quiet home with a patient family who are experienced dog owners. He is not a dog for a 1st time dog owner. Tato is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, on heart worm preventative as well as house and crate trained. Tato has been through so much and really deserves an awesome forever family/person who is devoted to his needs and will love him for the the rest of his life.

All dogs we rescue stay with us until they find their forever homes. We do not do same day adoptions. A home visit is required to ensure our dog is going to a safe environment and our dog gets along with your dog(s) and/or cat(s). We require all our dogs over the age of 1 year attend 1 obedience class (6 week session) outside the home. You must live within 1 hour of Birmingham, MI to adopt one of our dogs. No out of state or outside the U.S. adoptions or fosters. Tatos adoption fee is $300.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
