Looking for a fetch buddy and a playmate for your pup? Meet Jag, a 2.5 year old doggo weighing in at 44 pounds!Jag can be a little shy at first and likes to approach new people on his own terms, especially men, so would probably do best in a home with a doggie sibling to help show him the ropes and to help build his confidence. He would also like a home with a fenced in yard and one that has a healthy amount of toys, especially those of the squeaky variety.Jag is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all of his vaccinations, dewormed and has been on heartworm and flea prevention while in our care. His adoption fee is $200 and you can apply to meet this handsome boy at!

All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at for more information.

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
