Meet Gizmo! 

Little Gizmo wins hearts everywhere he goes!  This tiny chihuahua/terrier mix is about ten years old, although youd never know it from the way he wags his tail with every step he takes! He absolutely ADORES other dogs and would love nothing more than to join a home where he has a buddy or two! 

He is a great companion - a terrific cuddle bug, affectionate couch potato, and champion sleeper! He seldom barks, although hell let you know when someone arrives. And although he wasnt used to taking walks when he arrived at his foster home, he is already eager to stroll around the neighborhood.  Hes happy in his crate and rides well in cars. 

After a full health work up for this little dude, he was diagnosed with heart disease and just was started on medication. This will not reverse the disease but slows the progression. We can commit to providing heart medication for the first year after adoption. Our vets feel that with careful monitoring, little Gizmo may have 4-5 good years left!

Aside from the heart disease, Gizmo is otherwise in terrific shape for a ten year old. All his other organs look great, his bloodwork and urinalysis were good, his skin, teeth, ears, and eyes are all in full working order! 

He was never neutered while in his original home due to undescended testicles. If he did not have the heart condition we would neuter him, but there is always a risk when anesthetizing a pet with a weak heart. 

He is currently leading a normal but quiet life. He would love a relaxing low-exercise lifestyle with a yard to hang out in, dogs to play with, and people to provide a lap to cuddle up in!
