TATER - Look at this Handsome Hunk of Love!!!

Tater is a recent addition to our adoptable roster of dogs. We recently pulled him from Pasco County Animal Services. He’d been in the municipal shelter since April, where he became loved by all the staff …some of the things they said about this boy is “he’s a Teddy Bear”, “super squishy”, “so friendly”, “so fun”. Just look at his pics; you can’t help but smile!!

Tater is currently living with one of our DGH Foster families; playing with other dogs, getting his zoomies out in their backyard and learning quickly what the good life looks like while we search for his forever home.

Here’s some things to know about Tater:
-5 years old
-Neutered
-Up to date on shots
-He’s 56lbs and like some us, he’s going on a diet, working to loose 6lbs (his foster family is working on his weight loss)
-He’s a giant love bug
-Is housebroken
-Sleeps in bed with foster family members
-Happy & good with dogs smaller than him
-Playful but also is super chill
-Is crate-trained
-Walks well on a leash
-Not sure about cats
-Does currently display some food guarding but can be trained
-Does not have any separation anxiety

Meet & Greets are required, especially families with other dogs.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
