Description:
Pinto was found as a stray in October 2017, now making him one of our top 10 longest residents. He was found on someones property and followed the home owner inside her home. (Heart breaking, we know). With slow intros with other dogs, Pinto will feel comfortable, but he doesnt appreciate overly pushy dogs! Pinto is though, a very insecure and nervous dog. Pinto is now 6 years old and weighs about 60 pounds. Pintos ideal home is with a savvy owner who has experience with guarding. During his stay at the shelter, we have been working on loose leash walking and commands like "place", "sit" and "down". One of his favorite people here at the shelter has said some great things about him - He loves to play in the yard and play fetch, he walks great on leash and is scared of thunderstorms. This poor guy has been waiting so long for his home and we really wish his person would come in to find him soon. FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
