? ABOUT:
NAME - Brita
GENDER - female
BREED - pit/staffie mix "Pocket Pitty:
AGE - 2-3
SIZE/EXPECTED SIZE - full grown at 40lbs
ENERGY LEVEL - loves to play but is quiet when crated and will nap throughout the day

? GOOD WITH:
STRANGERS - yes
KIDS - yes
DOGS - yes (non dominant dogs)
CATS - no
ANIMALS - probably not anything smaller than her

??? TRAINING:
HOUSE - totally trained, no accidents
CRATE - loves her crate (bedtime, when leaving the house, and at feeding times). Can only have soft blankets, crate pads will get shredded
LEASH - great, some pulling when she sees a squirrel, but is quiet when encountering other dogs
BASIC OBEDIENCE - good
CAR RIDES - good

? FUN FACTS: She’s very shy at first but quickly comes out of her shell. Is more comfortable around women, but she warms up to men once she knows who they are. One of the most loving and affectionate dogs I’ve ever fostered.
- She will bark at the delivery trucks or people walking past the house, and I feel very safe having alert dogs when alone at night.
- Does great at breweries and events.
- Loves to curl up on the sofa next to you.

* Brita does have a old injury to her rear hip. This injury has detached the femoral head from the bone. Typically we would perform a FHO procedure however our vet said that she is mobile and doesnt seem as if shes in any discomfort. Therefore she said she would recommend waiting until there ever became a time that it did bother her before she would put her through that procedure. However it is something we want to disclose so her adoptive family knows and can monitor it over the years.
