Description:
Sugar Babe earned her name in all the right ways. Her foster Hailey says that she is the sweetest dog youll ever meet and it just fits her to a Tee. Her story is one of being abandoned and dumped out of a vehicle on a rural backroad in Middle Tennessee. She was just about 6 months old and right now she is close to a year old and weighs 40 pounds. Shes fantastic with other dogs; doesnt know a strange one and makes friends fast with dogs and people! Sugar tolerates cats well, and she is even great with her 2 year old human foster sister after Sugar Babe gets her zoomies out of her system! She is crate trained and lives for food. Her leash manners could use some work, but she understands what is expected of her when walked on one. Sugar Babe is extremely smart and we think it is due to her seeming to have a great deal of Blue Heeler/Cattle Dog in background DNA. We cannot stress it enough that she has learned her manners very quickly because of her intelligence. She has a nice off switch when its time to settle down and will lay quietly with a chew toy of her choosing there by your feet or in the den while her humans are relaxing for the evening. With some deeper training, she would be an excellent candidate for a dog sport or a highly active home. She has so much love to share with her people and wants nothing more than to please them!
