**Update** Sophie will be living out her life in a permanent foster home where she is doing great and is very happy! (12/31/22) Sophie has now had a double eye enucleation, and has recovered well. She was already blind, and her eyes were painful, so our advised that is was the best scenario for her. Sophie is now pain-free and enjoying life again. Sophie is ready to move on to a quiet adoptive or permanent foster home through our "Seniors for Seniors" Program. (10/9/22) Sophie came to AAU with some issues. She is blind and has ulcers in both eyes. Sophie is now under the care of The Vetting Zoo and receiving care for her eyes. She is just sweet and deserves to have a much better life and to receive all the care that she needs. Sophie has been vaccinated, and her bloodwork looks wonderful. Sophie would do best in either a quiet adoptive or foster home, and she also qualified for our "Seniors for Seniors" Program to be placed in a permanent foster home.
