Sadie is a gorgeous, affectionate, loyal, and loving, female, 10-plus-year-old, 54-pound, brindle and white boxer-mix looking for a loving guardian. This beautiful and sweet girl landed on the porch of a dog-lover in Burnham, Illinois, just south of Chicago. She was lost, emaciated, and had obviously given birth to multiple litters. When her family could not be found, she was brought to Friends of Petraits Rescue. Over the last five weeks, she’s gained weight and strength. She’s now spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm-tested, on preventative, and dewormed. Sadie had been suffering with Pyometra, a potentially life-threatening infection of the uterus, that was cured when she was spayed. She also had infected teeth which were removed when she also had a dental. Sadie is a feeling much perkier these days; but she still prefers a home with few stairs. She’s taking medication for her arthritis. She loves going for walks, does well with other dogs, and is fine with dog-friendly cats. She’s looking for a dog-lover to take her into their home and heart and give her the TLC she deserves in her golden years. Her adoption fee of $200 benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue. To meet and possibly adopt Sadie, please fill out an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/dog-adoption-application/ and follow up to meet her by e-mailing friendsofpetraits@gmail.com She is currently in a foster home in Burnham, Illinois.
