BONDED PAIR, REDUCED ADOPTION FEE OF $150 FOR THE PAIR. ALL WE WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS TO FIND OUR FOREVER FAMILY, WEVE BEEN WAITING ALMOST 6 MONTHS AND WE ARE ONLY 8 MONTHS OLD!!!!! Zarina is the more confident and active of the pair. With her foster parent, as with her sister, she is very social and sweet. She loves to play, especially "fetch" which she enjoys so much, shell often bring the ball back to you to throw again (but not always!). When she tires of playing, shell come sit in your lap, purring contentedly. Her fur is so soft you might purr too when you pet her. Zarina also plays, wrestles, and cuddles with her sister Zannah who she loves so much -- they spend a lot of time curled up with each other on the cat tree in the sun. Im sure it wont take long for Zarinas sweet face and big doe eyes to win your heart! These girls have sensitive tummies and cant handle most processed food (canned or kibble). They do beautifully on the more natural cat food products. Their foster has found they do well on Stella and Chewys Freeze dried turkey, chicken or duck and Ziwi Freeze dried Mackeral and Lamb during her experimentation. She is sure their are many other products like those that would work but those are the ones she has tried so far. A more affordable meal option for these girls has shown to have great success and that is preparing cooked food at home and adding a cat appropriate supplement. Currently, her foster is preparing 3-4 lbs of meat (turkey, chicken and pork have all been successful) at a time and adding EZ Complete for cats, a supplement that adds all the nutrients kitties need, and then freezing in single meal containers. This averages out to $1.50-$2.00 per day per kitty which is less expensive than some of the least expensive canned wet foods. It is really simple with a food processor.cook, cool, blend and freeze. They are VERY, VERY FOOD MOTIVATED SO THEY MUST BE FED SEPARATE AND PUT AWAY BEFORE ANY FOOD (HUMAN OR PET) IS TAKEN OUT. THIS INCLUDES WHILE YOU ARE COOKING, ETC. Meet Zarina and Zannah in their foster home by applying to adopt. That will trigger us to call you and then coordinate a meet and greet as appropriate. All cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, given dewormer and started on monthly flea preventative.

All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
