Well hello! I’m Maat, and I’m a super-affectionate, loving, snuggly, playful brown tuxedo Classic tabby (with white) DSH gal who was born in September 2020 and who’s the penultimate lap kitty. All I want to do is love all over my humans and purr sweet-nothings in their ears. You’d be hard-pressed to ever find another feline to shower you with as much kitty affection as I do. Plus I’m beautiful with my marbled tabby “bullseyes” on my sides. My future foster meowmy saw me going in and out from under a tarp at her community pool. Upon investigation, she discovered that I was foraging for food so I could nurse my little quartet of kittens, Bast, Nesh, Maia, and Cleo. Foster Meowmy could tell that I was a teenage mom who had been someone’s abandoned pet because I was so friendly. Who wouldn’t be lovey-dovey to a human who was giving me all sorts of tantalizing food? When my kits started exploring outside the tent, Foster Meowmy decided to bring us inside for protection from hawks, coyotes, and stray dogs – not to mention preventing my kits’ drowning in the pool. Heaven forbid! If you’re looking for a well-socialized young adult kitty who will be your constant companion, I’m your girl! Arrange to meet me today so you can guess the decibels of my purr motor, which sounds like a perking coffeepot. I have perfect scratching-post and litter-box manners. In fact, I’m so loving AND well-behaved that I’m pretty close to being perfect! Maat is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for her indoor-only home. No declawing allowed. Her adoption fee is $100 for cats older than 9 months. An online adoption application must be filled out prior to adoption: https://www.bustersfriends.org/cat-adoption-application. Several of our cats can be seen at the following adoption venue 7 days a week any time the store is open: PetSmart #1780 (Heights), 1907 Taylor St. (@ I-10); 77007; (713) 863-0533
