Hi Im Lettie! Ive spent most of my life living under the porch of an abandoned house with my sibling. Because of this rough start I am looking for a very special home that can be patient with me and appreciates all my quirks.

My foster mom says: Lettie is just the teeniest little thing with an incredibly sweet face! She wants to interact with people but isnt always sure how to do that so she spends much of her time hiding in her safe places. She uses the litter box well. She has never bitten but has scratched due to fear when not scooped up confidently/securely. She will do best in a quieter home. Older, calm children would be fine but I dont expect her to do well in a house with crazy little people.

She will need her own room initially (bathrooms work great!) while she acclimates and her humans should be prepared to go back to less freedom if she doesnt do well when turned loose. This also will make it easier for her new people to sit with her and earn her trust. Lettie LOVES other animals and may benefit from the confidence shed gain with a buddy. The downside to this is that she will be less motivated to seek out companionship from her people. When its just her, she interacts wonderfully and will even sit in laps and snuggle. Lettie is definitely a vocal, independent cat who will MAKE you earn her trust.

We can see her being an excellent companion for a single person or as a companion animal for a patient, older child. There MUST be at least one person in the home who is comfortable physically handling a nervous kitty. She doesnt have a mean bone in her body but shes been through a lot. We are happy to teach you! Lettie is the kind of companion that will require an initial investment that will be incredibly rewarding in the long run.

Lettie was a stray. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
