Please contact the Cat Team (catapplications@graspinc.org) for more information about this pet. DOB: 05/15/20 Asha is a super low maintenance (furry houseplant, as her foster mom jokes) and would be a great fit for someone who works longer hours. She enjoys time with people, but isnt a huge lap cat. She prefers to be beside people and flops on her side for pets. She always finds the coziest beds and places to sleep around the house. When its time to relax, youll find Asha stretched out on her bed by the window, four paws fully extended and belly up, for maximum sun exposure. Asha takes a little time getting to know new people, but patience and food will unlock her affections. She requires a special diet, which she eats with enthusiasm. Once Asha befriends someone, shell become quite chatty and show off her sweet little meow. She gets along well with the other cats in her foster home, but isnt really looking for a kitty playmate. She would also do well as an only kitty. Asha has learned to peacefully live with the calm dogs in her foster home and will share space with them by choice. She would also do fine in a home with older children that would not be apt to chase or grab her. Asha has mild cerebellar hypoplasia, or CH, which manifests in her case as mild impairment of fine motor coordination. The condition is neither painful nor contagious, and it doesnt slow Asha down one bit. In all ways physically she is pretty much a normal cat except she doesnt jump. She can do stairs well, she can run (maybe not perfectly coordinated, but it works for her), and she can get up on her raised bed. If Asha sounds like she might be your new best friend, apply to adopt her today! This cat has been combo-tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, received all age-appropriate vaccinations and is altered. 1/5/24 2:11 AM
