EDIE is a short-haired calico young adult female kitty with a dramatic orange flame stripe down the middle of her face. Her belly is mostly a satiny white. Edie is an energetic cat who spends her days moving from hiding spot to hiding spot and chasing her fellow foster feline friends around the house. She goes nuts for playtime with wand toys, especially those with feathers. She is a mighty hunter! Edie is somewhat independent when it comes to humans, but she has built trust with her foster mom and allows her daily pets and neck scratches. She is trained to accept nail trims with a tube treat as bribery. Edie wants a home where she can be fed, talked to, and played with regularly. She is extremely shy, and it will take empathy, endurance, and work for a new person to build her trust. Her anxiety is lessened with a daily packet of Calming Care probiotics. Edie is like the gold medal after a marathon: earning her trust and acceptance takes training, patience, and time, but getting to pet her extremely soft fur and receiving a slow blink of gratitude, makes it all worth the effort. Edie deserves a loving home where she can be doted on and respected. If youre looking for a stunning independent kitty, look no further than Edie. EDIE has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet Edie in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 days for a possible meet and greet. The $145 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community.
