Description:
Meet Lava, a 11 year old, 90lb German Shepherd. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped!

Lava is house trained and kennel trained. She knows some basic commands such as “sit”, “down”, and “shake”. She could use some leash training though as she does tend to pull, especially when excited. She gets very excited when first leaving the house to go on car rides. Otherwise she is a well behaved lady.

Lava is a medium energy pet. She is good with cats and dogs of all ages and sizes. Lava does have a more dominant and momma bear type personality. She should be fed separately. She can be protective with her food. She eats in a crate or outside without others around. She is also a slow eater some days so this allows her to eat at her own pace. She does not currently live with children. She would do best in a calmer home with older children who can respect her space.

Lava is a very sweet but also protective and an absolute cuddle bug. She loves to be on your lap or at your side. She is a little older but still has lots of spunk. She enjoys splashing in the pool with her shepherd friends in her foster home and playing with various toys. She is very treat motivated and can easily be trained with treats and practice. Lava spends her day lounging on the couch or hanging out in her crate. She finds her crate a safe space to relax. Her foster definitely recommends she have a crate available in her new home if at all possible. Being allowed on furniture is a must for this old gal too.
