Description:
In September 2017, Neko was found as a stray running in the street, jumping up on cars to look inside. We suspect she was dumped. In 2018 she had an accident and injured her front leg. It was damaged beyond repair and was amputated. She has learned to get around and enjoyed playing with her toys. In 2021 we noticed her vision was impaired. We took her for testing and it was determined that she has retinal deterioration. Unfortunately there is no surgery or treatment to help her. Now it appears that her vision is completely gone and she relies on her nose to feel and smell around. She still enjoys playing with her toys and can find them by smell and sound. She likes her kitty friends but we dont have other dogs or children so we uncertain how she will do with them. She is easy going, sweet, and a bit goofy. We are uncertain if she is completely housebroken as we have geriatric kitties that miss their litter box and Neko will go on the floor sometimes where they went. She would make a great companion to a patient, loving family!
