Description:
Grace is a loving, gentle senior looking for a comfortable home to live out her golden years. Its hard to not fall in love with this lovely girl the second you look into her soulful brown eyes, and her kind demeanor is sure to win you over! Grace was left at the BCSPCA hospital when her previous owner could not pay for her vet care, as she requires ongoing treatment for her arthritis and skin allergies. Since coming into our care, Grace has made excellent progress with her skin issues and looks (and feels!) better than ever. She loves to spend her days on a fluffy bed in front of a space heater, taking naps, and showing off her expert catch skills with her favorite ball.

Due to Graces arthritis in her hips, she isnt able to go for very long walks or runs, and prefers a slow-paced walk where she can sniff to her hearts content and watch the squirrels jump from tree to tree. Once she gets back inside, she rests her head on your lap for some well-deserved pets. Grace is fully housetrained and walks easily on leash, but she does have some barrier reactivity and will bark at passerby if she is behind a fence or in her kennel.

Grace would love a forever family that has lots of time to spend with her, and a home with lots of cozy nap spots. Her arthritis makes stairs very difficult for Grace, so she will need a single-level home or an apartment with an elevator to help with her mobility and keep her comfy. She will need regular vet appointments to manage her arthritis, and baths to keep her skin and coat healthy.
