MARIA is an adorable medium mix of some sort with a lot of energy and super playful. Shes estimated just under a year old and is 35 lbs, so shes about what shell be full-grown now. Our best guess is possibly shes got some Jack Russell and maybe cattle in her? She plays well with other dogs and should be okay with cats. Shes working on housetraining and is doing well but needs some one on one continued training and rewards. She can be a mouthy player (nipping) and needs an adopter willing to learn how to best help mouthy dogs like her. She was starved prior to coming to us and is generally just best fed away from other animals and kids so she’s not afraid her food will be taken away . Because of her mouthiness, we think only kids 12 and over would be best for a home for Maria. 

Adoption fee covers: all vetting to age (including deworming, deflea etc ), spay/neuter and microchip after 6 months of age at our clinic, $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes, and lifetime support of rescue.

We do most application processing virtually and dog meets will be individually by appointment with ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS. We are not a shelter and are completely foster-based, so there is no central place to come see all of the dogs available.

PLEASE NOTE: If a dog is listed as Adoptable, he or she is still available at that time. Also, our adoption area is within a several hour radius of us in Rochester, NY (NOT including Canada - sorry!)
