Description:
Picture a stormy night, rain beating down, and flashes of lightning and cracking thunder revealing the heartbreak of abandonment. Holly, a petrified lab/heeler, found herself in this harsh scenario, left alone in the middle of nowhere. Her foster mom, driving through the storm, stumbled upon a bag of dog food standing on the side of the road, witness to her loneliness. Approaching cautiously, Hollys distant barks echoed across the ditch when her bag, her only link to home, was touched. For two days, attempts to connect were met with Hollys fearful retreat into thorny bushes! Even her bag of food wasnt spared, stolen by callous hands, which we are sure was met with Hollys disapproving barks, even though she wasnt brave enough to cross the ditch to get it.

A makeshift bridge, an empty belly, and a gentle rain of soft dog food brought Holly across the ditch finally, wagging her entire body. In the car, a can of dog food later, she found comfort and peace. At 2 years old & ~40 lbs, Holly emerged from adversity, initially jumping at every touch, but her spirit unbroken, still sweet and dog-friendly once she realized she was safe. That triumphant smile? Its the promise of a brighter tomorrow, a testament to her resilience. She is heartworm positive (already begun treatment), scheduled to be spayed, and now updated on all vaccines. She is crate trained and almost totally house trained already. She adores her people and happily sits by your heels waiting for whatever love youll give. Could you be the one to rewrite Hollys narrative with love and security?
