Description:
Kenya is 7 years young, full of energy, and loves splashing in mud puddles. One of PHS’s long time residents, Kenya is also a good girl looking for her forever home! As she is both animal and child aggressive, Kenya is looking for a single pet home with someone looking to remain child free. She can be people selective and territorial of her area with new people, so PHS believes Kenya would most likely do best in a quiet home with limited visitors. According to a previous owner, Kenya is crate trained and slept in her crate at night.

Building trust with Kenya is the key element for finding her forever home. Kenya will need someone with loads of patience but someone who understands when to stand firm. Oh, and treats. Kenya will need someone with lots of treats. Multiple meet and greets may be required for Kenya, as she can sometimes take a little bit of time to truly warm up to someone. Once Kenya decides you’re her friend, it is a lifetime honor. Due to her issues with children and other animals, she must go to a home with the understanding that Kenya must always been on-leash, unless in a fenced in area.

This girl loves nothing more than water to swim in and balls to chase after. When she’s nice and tired, Kenya has been known to settle in for cookies and some cuddles.

PHS knows to some people, Kenya may seem like a difficult dog. However, Kenya has proven to be a volunteer favorite and is known at our shelter for her fun personality and her ability to make anyone smile on their worst day. PHS is confident that Kenya will make an amazing, forever addition to the right home.
