Description:
Siren (also goes by Lady) is such a sweetheart! She walks nicely on a leash, rides well in a car, is very treat motivated, and responds well to verbal corrections. She loves to sleep in her own bed and eats her food at her own pace. She can be a little clumsy and goofy, but has all the best snuggles, and the happiest smile! She is so curious and wants to be a part of everything you do, but curls up and naps when she is left home alone. Siren is GREAT with kids 7 and older, GREAT with other large dogs after proper introductions, but is not so good with smaller dogs or cats (as she has a strong prey drive, and unknown around smaller children, but not recommended around babies due to her desire to be so close to humans). She does fabulously in the car for long drives. She would make a great addition to a family with kids around 7+ years old, and would do well with another dog!

~All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (if at least 7 months old), and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. We do our best to update information on adoptable pets as frequently as we can. If youre interested in a specific pet, we recommend that you call the shelter and ask if he or she still is available. Adoption questionnaires are processed in the order in which theyre received.

For current adoption fees, please see our website, www.metrodetroitanimals.org. Adoption fee includes: age-appropriate vaccinations, spay or neuter, microchip, ID tag, fecal / worming, basic physical and behavior assessment. Dogs (6 months and older) receive an occult heartworm test. For an additional $20, cats (12 weeks and older) can be tested for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) / FLV (feline leukemia).
