Winni is doing great. She is a sweet and fun girl around 1.5 yrs old. Her foster says she is doing wonderful and such a good foster doggy. She says even my dog enjoys her company. They play well together. She is more energetic than I first thought, so it has been good that the dogs can run off some steam in our backyard. Winni is very interested in the squirrels and rabbits that hang out in our neighbors overgrown garden, and in the beginning she crawled under our fence to chase them a few times. While she likes to play, she is also good at settling down when we want her to. I put her in a crate at night and at other times when I cant supervise her. But, lately I have trusted her to relax and nap without being crated. We are working on potty training and have had no accidents in the last week. She is a little wary of strangers, but not excessively shy. She is not bothered by vacuum machines and didnt freak out over the 4th of July fireworks. Like my dog, she barks only when appropriate. I have noticed that she responds very well to being corrected with a stern voice and she seems to be a quick learner. She is actually better about not jumping on us than our own dog. Yes Winni is doing very well in foster care and showing what a great companion she could be for someone. She just needs a chance to prove to you how sweet she truly is.
