Cheesecake has been more than ready to add some of her serious sweetness to your life. She knows how lay it on thick with all of the love, and shell find ways to constantly remind you how much she loves having you around. Cheesecake is a true snuggler at heart, she believes that any time can be the right time to wedge herself between you and the couch, and refuse to move so that the love sesh never has to stop. Cheesecake arrived to PAWS recently as a stray, and prior to her arrival she got to spend some time being fostered by her finders while they learned more about her and her sweet disposition. They describe her as a "dream dog"; incredibly friendly, well-mannered, a quick learner, and a giant lapdog-despite her larger-than-lapdog size. In that home Cheesecake lived with a dog that she snuggled and played tug of war with, so we could definitely see her being a great match for anyone with a playful resident pup that is in the market for a new roommate or sibling! She is a professional at getting her zoomies out when necessary, and has become a natural with fetch according to her current foster parents. She loves spending time in the sunshine and in the grass exploring, and when she cant be in the great outdoors Cheesecake will be happy to window watch to see the world go by. And a huge bonus if there are some squirrels or other wildlife to keep an eye on and keep things entertaining. When meeting new people, Cheesecake can be a bit excitable and is still working on keeping "four on the floor" and not jumping when shes showing people how happy she is to meet or see them. She is very food-motivated, and responds very well to being redirected with treats, and appreciates people not flooding her with very excitable greetings at first to help keep things calm while she learns. Cheesecake is housebroken, crate trained, and working on new commands to keep her stimulated at home and on walks. When being left on her own at home, she has been noted to occasionally chew on things that she shouldnt if she is bored, but her fosters report that Cheesecake typically sticks to her toys and loves any enrichment items that can help keep her busy for longer periods of time alone. Shes also more than content to steal pillows and blankets that she has access to for her impressive fort construction, and shell be thrilled to nest up in her cocoon for as long as it takes for you to notice shes made a bit of a... pile in the living room. Cheesecake is the sweet treat that always has you coming back for more. She has so much love to give, and is not shy about receiving as much as you have to offer. Everyone who meets Cheesecake knows that whoever will be the one(s) to call her their own will be the luckiest to feel a love so genuine from her always.
