Meet Salma,

Rescued from Egypt with her sister Blackie, Salma has a mysterious and gentle demeanor. She is often found in clam and quiet spaces. She enjoys creating her own little oasis in various cozy spots that she finds throughout the house. Shes a master of the art of surprise and can seamlessly appear in front of you when you least expect it! She has a knack for reading minds, choosing the perfect moment to make her entrance. This gorgeous feline was born to be in the spotlight!

Salma will enjoy joining a quieter household environment with adults and older teenage children who can respect her cat space. Salma and her sister Blackie are two inseparable sisters who have shared a lifetime of companionship. They are a close-knit duo and in order to flourish in their new adventures they must be adopted together. They are not a fan of other animal companions and will need to be adopted into the home as the only furry friends in the house. During mealtime, Salma consistently craves the same food as Blackie and eagerly inserts herself into her sisters bowl, regardless of the identical fare! Shes a comedian to boot! 

This elegant lady has an inquisitive side to her as well and enjoys kicking around toy mice and springs with her sister. Shes a laid-back player, savoring the joy of playtime without the need for high energy antics. Salma is a talker and likes to give you her opinion on all of the days events. Shes a delightful conversationalist and not only wants to be physically close but also emotionally connected. Youll find her squinting her eyes when shes in deep concentration which just adds to her charm.

Although shes not a lap cat she does love to be with you and will eagerly curl up next to you for some coveted cuddle and love time! She revels in the warmth of your comfort and presence.

**** This cat is a Himalayan related breed, meaning they might have some extra support needs beyond those of a normal cat. Before applying, we encourage you to research this breed at length to determine if it would be a good fit for your home. While their coats are beautiful, it does require daily brushing to keep their coat clean, healthy and to prevent matting. While their smooshy face is also super adorable, this means that he can easily get winded and is prone to overstimulation if engaged in too much play. Additionally, while there are no known medical issues now, as a brachycephalic breed, Himalayans are prone to difficulties with breathing, dental malocclusions, and eye conditions. An adopter must be prepared to take on any potential extensive medical responsibilities over this cats life. 

As a rescue organization, we cannot guarantee a cat is 100% purebred, but please keep in mind that premium breed pricing will apply. Applicants in Chicago land and surrounding areas will be prioritized but those distanced further will be considered if application criteria is met. ****
