Description:
My name is Jazmine. I’m 7 years young, and I have been patiently awaiting my forever home. My life has not been easy the last couple of years. In 2021, I was brought into Sacramento County’s Bradshaw Animal Shelter as a stray, where I waited for months on end for someone to scoop me up. They said it was hard because I do not get along with other dogs, but my day finally came, or so I thought, when someone chose me to be their pup. I had my freedom ride, and I could now breathe a sigh of relief that I was finally free. Sadly, not long after that, I was returned because I did not get along with the resident cat. I was so sad and shut down in my kennel, and my volunteer friends kept trying to cheer me up and take me on my daily walks. I waited again, for months on end, for someone to come and tell me, “I want you to be mine”. That day finally came, and my human was a nice young man, who gave me my second freedom ride. Everyone at the shelter was so happy for me, and wished us a happy life. In 2022, my human was unfortunately forced to rehome me to a friend, because his landlord said I’m not allowed to be around. I somehow was found as a stray once again, and this time around, I was turned in to Sacramento City’s Front Street Animal Shelter. I was redeemed and went back home, but on February 9, 2023, I was found as a stray yet again and back at Front Street shelter where I would remain. This time, though, my human never came, and I was told I will die on the 23rd, should I not find a way out. An amazing volunteer shared me on Facebook to save my life, and to my surprise, my loyal volunteer friends from Bradshaw came together and everyone joined hands to help me out. A rescue agreed to get me out, and to them, I am so grateful to be alive. I am free… I can breathe… but I am in a boarding kennel… and I still dream of having a home and person or family to call my own. I want to be free. I want to go home. No more kennels. No more barking dogs. I want to go on long walks, breathe fresh air, and lay in the sun. I want to go on car rides, get a pup cup, and plenty of belly rubs. I dream of having my own bed, my own person, my own home. I want my FINAL freedom ride. I want to have a constant smile on my pretty face and greet my person or people with wiggles and kisses when they come home. Will you give me a chance? I promise you will have no regrets. I will be your best friend, will love you and be loyal to you until the very end.
