If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyones time if you are not serious about adopting this dog.

CeCe, 1.5-2 years old, spayed female, Pointer/Retriever mix, 34 pounds. She is in a foster home in HOUSTON, TEXAS and can transport out of State once an adopter is approved.

Her name at the shelter where she was rescued was Jeanie, but her foster home is calling her CeCe. They noted she seems to respond to this name, so we are using that, but her medical records will reflect Jeanie :)

CeCe has a very playful style when interacting with other dogs. She has been described as "rowdy" and will run/chase another dog. She gives play bows and can be a little jumpy in a friendly way. She has played with a dog a little smaller than her and larger than her. She usually picks up on ques when the other dog is done playing. She begins very excited when meeting a new dog and then calms down once the excitement has worn off. She would do great in a household with another dog who enjoys playing. When seeing other dogs on leash, she has that same excitement and wants to go meet/greet them.

She does share a home cats and is not a good fit. She also met kids ages 6 & 9 years old. She is a lot more relaxed around people and did great with the kids. She is far more excited when another dog is around. We always recommend a home where kids are supervised with animals and have an understanding/respect of animal boundaries.

CeCe tends to walk fairly well on leash. She is a little all over smelling and sniffing. She loves to explore. She is housebroken. She is crated at night and does well. She tends to mimic the energy in the house. If things are chill, she is too. If there is excitement, she is too. She is very affectionate and loves to give kisses.

Her foster mom has this to say about her, "She sometimes watches TV, looks at herself in the mirror and snores. She is sweet, affectionate, goofy and silly. She has a cute bounce/prance/trot when you get home and is excited to see you. When she is in a goofy mood she will squirm on her back like a bug and sometimes slides off of the couch. She loves to sleep beside me on the couch and lean her face on my lap for pets. Shes curious and not overly fearful. She hasnt demonstrated destructive behaviors (i.e., chewing or tearing things up). Shes relaxed with normal handling and touching - baths have been easy. Barks when appropriate, but not excessively - very minimal barking from her. Response to verbal correction "ah-ah", "no"
