Honey is a 3 year old petite terrier mix. Originally, Honey came to us in August 2023 as a stray roaming on a persons property. They called us and we came to pick her up right away. Honey came in pretty thin, and very sweet but also a little scared of her new surroundings (we dont blame her). Shortly after, Honey went into a foster home that ultimately did not work out, so she finds herself back here at the shelter. Even though it did not work out in her foster home, it did help us understand Honey a little more. Such things like, she really loves her people and wants to be apart of all activities! Honey displayed some discomforts with new people in the home and, as always, it is best she meets all of the people she will be spending time with upon adoption. Honey is a sweet soul and needs structure and routine, so continued training is recommended. Honey considers her kennel as a "safe space". She enjoys walks on our trails, and even play groups with some dogs here at the shelter! Honey should go to a home that has experience with a shy/conflicted dog. Our trainers recommend having a trainer lined up for a home introduction.
