Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at a meet and greet event on Saturday, December 30th unless he/she is adopted prior to the event with a set up home. The event is from 12 pm to 3 pm at Palo Altos Pet Food Express. Those interested in meeting the dog can come out to our meet and greet event. We no longer do application approval onsite. Anyone adopting has been previously approved and set up to meet prior to the event. Adoption Fee: $500 Gemma is a 4 year old Yorkie x Chihuahua mix who was rescued from one of our shelter partners. This petite gal may have had a rough start to her life that we wish we could ask her about, but she is eager to get started on the new life we promised her! Below is a note from her foster. "Gemma is a quiet and very affectionate pup. It took her a few days to get used to our house when she came from the shelter but on Day 3 she came out of her shell and started seeking us out when she wanted to show us love. Gemma wakes up at around 7 AM. She gets three walks a day: 8:30 AM, 4 PM, and 9 PM. She eats at 9 AM and 6 PM. During the day she hangs out in the house with our dog and gets her tan on. Gemma is a lounger but she still shows off her playful side! She gets along with our 15 month old Jack Russel mix and we sometimes spot them play wrestling which is very cute. She does very well on walks and loves going outside. Gemma loves her foster sibling and will be a fabulous fit for just about any home environment. She is also absolutely adorable to boot." Gemma is only an option for those who have owned a dog in the past, with emphasis placed on those who have experience with shy dogs. Kids in the home should be over the age of 10.
