Oakley is a 3-year-old, 45 pound herding dog, and the more we get to know him, the more we think he needs a job doing what his ancestors did! Herding dog tendencies are very strong in this boy. If he is adopted as a pet rather than a working dog, he will need someone willing to engage in sports and activities that exercise his need to herd. 

Oakley is a little fearful as a result of his early experiences. He loves the people he trusts, but hes wary of too much handling--it needs to be his idea. Oakley loves other friendly dogs and we think he would do great on a farm with other dogs and livestock.
**We are no longer placing dogs for adoption in apartments. Adopters must have a fenced backyard.**
