Meet Gus! Gus is a 40 pound male Aussie mix (possibly GSD) who is coming into rescue as he needs to be the only dog in his home. Gus is being fostered by his owner, but comes with every guarantee that Aussie Rescue offers. Gus has extensive obedience training and it truly shows. He is amazing to walk on leash, knows his basic commands including some tricks like spin, under and high five. He is very willing to participate in fun training activities. Gus loves to snuggle and is a true velcro dog and loves his person. He is not super into toys, but will enjoy chasing a ball around a fenced in yard. Gus is ok with other dogs while he is on a walk or at doggy daycare, but prefers to be the only dog in the home. Gus does not want any cats in his house. We would suggest that Gus does not live in a home with young children as he will resource guard. Gus is kennel and house trained! Gus will guard his yard, like most dogs and is working on disengaging quicker. Upon meeting, Gus may bark, but as soon as his owner tells him it is ok, he will disengage and do his own thing.
