Description:
Whitaker is a 2 year old, 52-pound lab/border collie or something like that mix. He came to us along with several of his fellow survivors of a not fabulous existence and he was super happy to see us.

Whitaker has spent several months being treated for heartworms, gaining weight and generally getting the spa treatment. He loves his people and now that he is free to exercise at will, he loves the swimming pool and walks. Whitaker is a medium energy guy who wants someone to play ball with and someone to nap with and watch Netflix with.

Whitaker is a fan of calm canine companions who are not the "in your face & pushy" kind! We get it, Whit! He thinks kitties are fun for chasing, so none of them please!

Whitaker has good inside manners and he would love a dog bed and a sofa to crash on his new home. A fenced yard would be good for him, or someone committed to regular walks as this is not an off leash dog.

His favorite thing is to snuggle his humans, so someone down for snuggling is a requirement !
