Meet Brownie! Brownie is an unusual looking lowrider, probably part Dachshund. He has short, brindle and white fur, and is around 9 years old and 35 lbs. Brownies elderly owners couldn’t take care of him any longer and made the difficult decision to release him to rescue. Brownie has plenty of energy and loves to play and run, but spends the majority of his time hanging out or napping. He is a great companion in the home and would be a good fit for a home that could take him for walks and play with him but maybe doesn’t need a dog for running or hiking. Brownie came to rescue very underweight and with a knee injury because of his neglect, but was healed and healthy after a couple of months. He has some hip dysplasia and visits the chiropractor for some occasional physical therapy, but is overall in great health. He recently had an exam, blood panel, and full dental cleaning. Brownie will want a home where hes showered with love and attention. He will need a moderate amount of exercise. Socially, Brownie is great with adults and children in the home, gets used to new visitors quickly enough if given space, and will get used to canine buddies after awhile. He is however reactive and defensive when on leash outside the home, and should be handled by a firm, confident owner accordingly. Brownie unfortunately has too much prey drive to live with cats or small animals. Sweet Brownies adoption fee of $350 includes his basic vaccines, rabies vaccine, microchip, and neuter. He is being fostered in the Everett area If you are interested in adopting Brownie, please complete the following online application: https://forms.gle/G4N4PPaDkHmEAxaKA Questions?
