He soon convinced me to bring him into my home. When I took him to the vet for a checkup, I found he was FIV+. I decided to try to integrate him into my cat family, as he is a very gentle and non-aggressive cat, and I did not feel he posed a danger to my other cats. Unfortunately, they have not accepted him, and after several months they continue to bully him. Im worried that the stress may negatively affect his health. He is a sweet and loving boy, and I hope to find him a home where he can be loved and cherished and given the care that he needs to live a long and happy life. Despite his hard times living on the street, Scruffy has adapted well to domestic life, and his greatest joy is napping next to his human.I can be contacted by email at beadarella@gmail.com or by text at 828-545-6137. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
