Description:
Hi everyone! My name is Tato! I have such an awesome name because when I was little, I spent all my time rolling around on the floor like a potato. Now that Im bigger, Im more of a running, jumping, and playing type of boy, but I still think the name fits me perfectly!

I know its probably hard to believe when you look at my pictures, but I wasnt always the strong and healthy kitten I am now. When my foster mom found me, I had been abandoned in a storage container that I was too small to climb out of. I was in really bad shape and she was worried I wouldnt make it, but then I showed her what a brave little fighter I am and the rest is history.

Some of my favorite activities include playing in my cat tunnel, chasing crinkly balls around the house, snuggling with my foster sister Ellie (shes the dog), and pestering my foster sister Gerrie (shes the cat). Sometimes Gerrie pretends to be annoyed, but then I catch her following me around trying to play with me so I know she really likes me!

I would love to have dog, cat, or human siblings in my forever home, and I think itd be a perfect fit if they loved to play like me, or were more relaxed like my foster sister Ellie. Since Im young, I have lots and lots of love and energy to give. Sometimes that means I get a little overexcited, but my foster family has been helping me learn how to express that love in the right ways. I am a smart, inquisitive, and tenacious boy, and I am so excited to finally meet my forever family!

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty youve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!

Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a 30-day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.), a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through.

We celebrated our 5-year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
