Description:
Biscuit was found in a neighborhood living on the streets and being fed by neighbors. He had two types of mange and he slowly got worse. Neighbors did not know what to do. He was rescued probably on his last few days of life. He was taken to the vet where he was treated for Demodex and sarcoptic mange, anemia, dehydration, near starvation and a yeast infection in the ears. He had all four canines broken. Biscuit needed fluids daily. He stopped drinking and eating and he had diarrhea. After several months of vet visits, and TLC, Biscuit is healthy and ready for his own home. The vet believes that his 4 canines were kicked in and he has PTSD when it comes to humans. He needs patience and understanding. Biscuit is also FIV positive, so he needs to be inside. And after all that he has been through, he does not need to be living outside on the streets. He needs the safety of a home. He would love to have a buddy for a friend because his friend was also full of mange, but has already found another home. Biscuit will not be a lap cat at first nor will he seek out attention until he knows he is safe. Right now he just needs a room with a window, a hidey -hole and a bowl of food and freshwater and someone to check on him several times a day just to tell him he is loved. He loves to be petted, but is fearful at first, and will let you know that until he learns to trust you. Biscuit has been through near death and needs a home where he can be at peace. Best to be a home that is quiet without loud dogs or aggressive cats or young children. If interested, there are several pictures and stories of his miraculous recovery. We would love to share that with you if you are interested. You need to understand his beginning so that you can be his forever home.
