Description:
Cooper (male, black) and Pimento (female, tortoiseshell) are a bonded pair that need to be adopted together. Cooper is a handsome big boy who loves wand toys, hot pursuit, food and treats! Cooper loves to look out the window to see all the birds and squirrels at the feeders. Cooper needs a patient person to understand it will take some time for him to adjust to a new home. He has the potential to be an affectionate boy.

Pimento came in as a stray from a feral colony. Pimento is not super social with people, but is great with other cats. She is very playful and loves the wand toy and temptation treats. Pimento lives life on her own terms. Cooper and Pimento met at the shelter and are like a married couple. Cooper is 4 years old and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Pimento is 4 years old and tested negative for FIV & FeLV.

Our adoption fee ($75 for cats 1 year and over or $100 for kittens) includes a free vet visit with one of our participating vets.

All of our cats have been spayed or neutered, tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, vaccinated for rabies and distemper and have been treated, if necessary, for fleas and parasites.

We do adoptions by appointment only. We recommend filling out an adoption application first; then you can be pre-approved before your visit. This way if you find a cat/kitten that you connect with, you can take them home the same day.
Applications can be found here: http://schuylerhumane.org/cat-adoption/

We have Open Hours on Mondays and Fridays from 11am – 1pm, Saturdays from 10am - 1pm or Sundays from 3 to 5 pm. People can stop by without an appointment. Please note we do not do same day adoptions.

Visit us online at www.schuylerhumane.org for additional information, an adoption application, to see more adoptable dogs and cats or for directions to our shelter.
