Meet Chico & Gumbo! Can you believe these two have been with us since they were 6 weeks old, over 200 days! These sweet boys were rescued from an area overrun with cats. A total of 54 cats had been TNRd, and these sweet boys were among them. At the time, they were sickly and too young to neuter. RBARI immediately stepped in to help these two babies, who were not only scared but in desperate need of medical attention. 

These boys got so much attention in their foster home and did so well you would never know they were the same terrified kittens that first came to the shelter. After the dedicated care of their foster and our vet, these boys have made a full recovery. 

Gumbo lost his eye to a terrible infection, but that doesnt stop him in any way, shape, or form. Gumbo is FIV+; Chico is not. Cats with FIV can live happy, healthy lives, especially if they are kept indoors.
