Alex and Abba arrived into the care of Abbey Cats with their parents. It was a very scary time for this young family. Their parents were very fearful which became a learned behaviour for the kittens. After 1 month in their single person foster home with 2 loving cats, their hisses have turned to purrs. They saw how much the other cats enjoyed being petted and cuddled and soon they worked up the courage to join in! Alex is a typical little boy. Hes inquisitive and extremely energetic. He plays so hard that he usually sleeps through lunchtime. Alex sleeps through the night in preparation for his morning cardio! Hes a little shy with people, playing from a safe distance. He loves to cuddle with his foster mom and purrs instantly when touched. She is still quite nervous and she looks to him for support. A home with calm and understanding parents who can help them feel safe while they continue to overcome their shyness would be ideal. Update: Alex has become quite the young man! Hes very affectionate, playful, extremely energetic and a little mischievous! His sister Abba has become more independent and no longer needs him by her side. He gets along great with all the kittens and cats in his foster home and would love to be adopted with either Abba, Lilibet or Leon. Alex needs to be adopted with a cat in the program or have another cat at home. Please bear in mind that it is against Abbey Cat policy to adopt a single kitten under the age of 6 months to a home without a kitten of similar age for company.
