Breed experienced Foster or Forever home needed!
This smiley guy is Tracer! Tracer is a purebred German shepherd, 2 years old and about 55lbs. He had a bit of a rough start in life. Coming to us just skin and bones, it took some time for him to feel better, but now he’s ready to shine! Tracer is potty and crate trained. He LOVES fetch and play time in general. He is Very sweet, and loves to always be near his person. Tracer is very loyal and your typical Velcro shepherd. He likes to protect his people and will protect you from the smallest things, like leaves haha! Tracer gets along well with his furry foster lab sister and loves to taunt her til she plays with him! Tracer didn’t have a great start in life and missed out on important socialization time, so he takes some time to warm up to new people and other dogs, he needs someone who understands his breed and tough beginning in life to work with him on this. Once he does warm up though, you’ve got a best friend for life! He is looking for his forever family who will be patient and give him time to open up, in return he will light your days with the biggest smile and hilarious antics!
Tracer is neutered, current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention, and is heartworm negative!

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to please visit our website to complete an application and read all of our FAQs: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt

**Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application.

All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for puppies covers initial deworming, puppy vaccinations, microchip, and spay/neuter at the rescues approved vet at 6 months of age. Please see our website for more information.
