Nash is a uniquely rare fella. He is a miniature German Shepherd. He is likely a mix of a German Shepherd with a smaller sized breed dog. Everywhere he goes people stop to pet him and tell him how gorgeous he is. He is absolutely the sweetest pup you will ever meet. Are you a German Shepherd lover, but wish you could have a small GSD? Nash could be the perfect pup for you! He is an adorable pocket sized GSD!! He is estimated to be almost 7 months old (bday 5/21/23) and an adorable 35 lbs. What matters most is that his breed mixes made him the pint sized cutie that he is. Nash is a well-balanced, happy pup who takes everything in stride. He has a warm, friendly, cuddly temperament. He is playful and loves to play with his human friends. He might need some time to adjust in a new home, but once he warms up he will be very affectionate and a very sweet cuddler. If youre looking for a sweet boy with a playful personality, look no further! Nash is crate trained and house trained. He walks well on a leash and enjoys going for walks along the beach or on trails. He LOVES the water and swimming!! He loves to be outside exploring and is at the perfect age to load himself up in the car for an adventure with you. He is a quick learner and is treat motivated so that makes training much easier. He loves to run in the backyard while playing with his toys. His Kong and activity ball are two of his favorite toys. He will need a home with a secure fully fenced backyard for safe playtime. Nash loves to go out to eat at pet friendly pubs. He uses that time to people watch while hoping that someone will stop to pet him. When he gets excited he will need reminders to stay on all four paws and "no jumping". Nash would benefit from having a family that will attend weekly training classes with him, keep him well socialized and teach him grow into a well-behaved, healthy adult. He is so smart and has incredible training potential!! Nash is at the perfect age to build a strong bond with his new family. He is a lover to his core and hasnt met a stranger! He is very social and knows being a sweet boy is the way to get hugs and kisses. He loves to have visitors at home and loves to meet new people while out on outings. He attended a dog event centered around dog services, trainings and treats with tons of people and dogs and was wearing the biggest smile on his face the entire time! He is a good balance of playful and goofy, and cuddlebug. If you need a warm body to lay with you on the couch while watching a good movie, hell be right there! Nash will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog youve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dogs needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesnt stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.)
