Meet Ryder, This sweet boy came all the way from Texas to find his new forever home. Unfortunately, his dad went to live in a nursing home and was forced to give up this gentle giant. Ryder has a great personality and gets along with everyone including cats and small dogs. He follows basic commands and is very much a gentleman at mealtime. Hell be a super companion for someone and could possibly be a good candidate as a service dog. If you want to fall in love, this is the guy for you. Basics: He is a male guessed to be around 6 yrs old and weighs close to 70lbs. He is currently at a foster home in Munster, IN with 2 other small dogs. Adoption Process: - Please fill out our adoption application: https://www.dayofthedogs.org/adoption-application - One of our team members will get back to you via phone. - Our dogs can be seen by appointment only. We do not have a facility at this time. Dogs are in foster homes or boarding - Adoption fee helps to cover transport costs, spay/neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip. -We do not place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt. NOTE: We are very good about updating the pets profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available. About Us: Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit that is dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland and the Kansas City area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Dyer, IN area and partner with 12 other rescues and shelters in both IL and IN that are willing to help southern pets in need. We rely on donations to help fund our ongoing transports. Please donate if you can. Every dollar adds up and we are grateful for any help we can get: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/DayoftheDogs
