Cletus began his journey with us as a resilient stray from the heart of Louisiana, facing starvation and battling a host of health issues. From intestinal worms to anemia and a stubborn urinary tract infection, Cletus fought through it all with a wagging tail and a spirit that refused to be broken. When he first came to us, he weighed 50 lbs less than he should, but with time, patience, and plenty of TLC, hes now a thriving, healthy Dane.

After a gradual recovery, Cletus has been neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and even had a benign growth removed from his chest. Hes now the picture of health, ready to share his love with a family that will appreciate his resilience and charm.

Cletus is not just a survivor; hes a social butterfly! Hes proven to be great with dogs, kids, and even those mysterious feline creatures. Having lived amidst the chaos of a multi-species household in foster care in Louisiana before traveling to Pensacola, Cletus is a team player whos crate-trained, potty-trained and walks decently on a leash. His circus skills are top-notch!

However, be prepared for a little magic act—Cletus has a talent for being an escape artist, likely a skill acquired during his life on the run. A secure fence is a must to keep this spirited Dane safe and sound.

Currently residing in Pensacola, Cletus is eagerly awaiting the moment when a forever family decides to make him a permanent member. Hes ready to sit on your lap and tell you his lifes woes - like that time that his foster mom didnt give him the 34th meatball treat because she said he already had too many or that time he had to wait in his room while dinner was being prepared.
